Excellent corner coffee shop! Had their famous bagel and yum indeed. I've had that sandwich a million times at a million other places, but theirs does stand out. I drink espresso and have many a coffee shop under my belt and this is A+ pulls. Overall Excellent experience.
My breakfast sandwich was lowkey gross, a ton of cheap cheddar, & the meat didn’t feel quality either, I couldn’t even finish it & got a croissant from QFC afterwards which was so decently satisfying in contrast lol.
Atmosphere is balls & the place didn’t feel very clean/sanitary tbh, hate to give a poor rating to a local business but it was not worth it & im not coming back.
All of the staff was SO friendly. We popped over to have a quick breakfast and while it does seem small inside, we comfortably ate. It is recommended to take it to go if it’s packed but we went at a good time. The quiche is amazing and love the bagel sandwiches
FIRST IMPRESSION (during service): A quaint cute spot, friendly barista's, busy environment, limited space.
MY EXPERIENCE:
Prior to going I had called and was placed on a long hold ..no one ever came back to the phone. I was calling to ask if they had unsweetened plant milk. With that unknown I still wanted to drop in and find out, possible order something. So the husband and I went to Kathy's to have quick breakfast date. We ordered some quiche to go and a coconut milk cappuccino. We picked up the order jumped in our car off to the next destination. Upon arrival we opened the boxes to find these burnt flavorless slices of quiche. It was so overcooked we couldn't taste anything but burnt cheese! Why would anyone sell this? Very disappointed.
The only saving grace was that the coffee. It was actually good.... I might give them a second chance but until then I would say stay away from the quiche!
What a charming little spot that really showcases this close-knit neighborhood. I stopped by this afternoon and worked for about an hour at a sunny table. I was delighted by the number of regulars who came in while I was there, many with their dogs who often hopped up on the bench outside and poked their faces through the open window, looking for something from the big jar of treats on the counter. The staff was friendly, the coffee was excellent, the vibe was chill, the playlist was divine. What more could anyone ask from a neighborhood coffee shop? 100% would return if I lived here.
This is the kind of place that makes Seattle so great. Out of the bustle, in a neighborhood and frequented by locals--unapologetically imbued with it's own personality.
Stopped by on the way out of the city and had a DELICIOUS breakfast bagel and coffee. Hard to find a good bagel in Seattle, and this was good. Super nice people and just the best of Seattle's spirit. Go here, have a relaxing bite to eat, and be happy.
Katy's is one of my favorite parts of living in the neighborhood. The people are so friendly, the food is delicious, and the coffee is positive fuel for the day. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could. Thank you to the Katy's team for all that you do!
The folks working here are awesome. The music is often excellent. We're lucky to have this café in our neighbourhood! There are a decent handful of vegan options, and I hope to see that trend continue in the future. Proud to support this business and thankful for the ways they support everyone in this community, too.
